Just getting back to these business Sites, after spending many hours trying to learn the software and learn the use for each program. I will be able to move forward now as I take on the tasks of a rainmaker, sounding board and continue to review and improve the process. To accomplish these tasks, my plan is to spend part or all of the next six months in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Hopefully I can locate a HUB or Historically Underutilized Business Zone where I can locate a business in a safe and growing area. This action is necessary because my application for Disability maybe denied and I will need to locate in a HUB Zone to get the same business advantage, I would get if I am classified as disabled. Locating in this area will decrease the traveling time required for my son and me to monitor the business operation.
In the age of the Internet many businesses will not require bricks and mortar to operate, but the VA or Veterans Administration may require it because it will show that you are indeed in business and very capable of starting and managing a business. We will restart a business and can prove it can operate in a small location on a large computer, with adequate backup. Depending on how you expand, the number of employees can be small or large. Here again, many employees can work at home with a computer or some of the other equipment in a work area in the home.
Both methods will bring the same result, and that is the VA or Veterans Administrations will secure a contract for me and the other owners of the company as long as the disabled veteran own 51 percent of the business. Or in the case of a company located in a HUB zone, that company will be fast-tracked also.
